Growng Crystals

As part of my Chemistry learning, I'm growing some crystals from Potassium permanganate.

Some info.....

Potassium permanganate is an inorganic chemical compound and medication.

As a medication it is used for cleaning wounds and dermatitis.

It has the chemical formula KMnO₄ and is a salt.

It is a strong oxidizing agent. It dissolves in water to give intensely pink or purple solutions.

Evaporation of which leaves prismatic purplish-black crystals.

The Solution at the start....
String suspended in the solution.

After several days....
You can see some fractal like crystal deposits on the glass...

And the start of a larger crystal on the string....
